Like all the best things in life, Artisan Holidays started by accident. We are a British / Swedish family and were fortunate enough to buy a holiday home in Råå, the Bryggargården. A large building full of character, history and warmth next to the sea. We fell in love with the place and invited friends and family to stay whilst we were there as the property just seemed to want to welcome more people. Not just a home but a place where people meet, hug and laugh…where memories are made. Eventually, those friends and family branched out and we received requests from other relations and their friends to stay and so Artisan Holidays was born.
Over the past seven years we have taken on two more properties. We looked for places that had history, nature and could host a large group. Firstly, we were lucky enough to find Skogsgården where we could ‘forest bathe’ to our heart’s delight and then Södergården where we could hike and hike with an even larger group of friends.
What is our ethos? We want our guests to experience the same warmth and convenience that we want. That drives everything we do…from the 19th century figurines that leave you a little puzzled through to the wifi extenders that give you cover in the forest. We stay at the houses ourselves with different friends including considerate grandparents through to maybe not so considerate teenagers! We like to ‘kick the tyres’ to make sure everything is in place so that you can hopefully make some of the same memories that we have.
Welcome to Artisan Holidays.
